Battling and Overcoming Drug Addiction According to the Bible

Drug addiction in America has become an unnatural epidemic that affects the mind, and attacks the spirit like a vamp iritic-host.

According to the National Institute on Drug Abuse – “Most drugs affect the brain's "reward circuit" by flooding it with the chemical messenger dopamine. This reward system controls the body's ability to feel pleasure and motivates a person to repeat behaviors needed to thrive, such as eating and spending time with loved ones. This overstimulation of the reward circuit causes the intensely pleasurable "high" that can lead people to take a drug again and again.” Faith is a very powerful thing, but faith alone cannot battle the addition.

Proverbs; 29:1 “He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.”

Not only does drug abuse destroy the mind, it also destroys the very fabric of the “reward circuit” – which controls every thought process we as humans depend – to function in a rational manner.

Proverbs; 29:2 “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.” These words speak of prophecy, as the world today has become infiltrated with drugs – it has placed a burden on innocent souls – corrupted by a system ruled by unrelenting hypocrisy.

Proverbs; 29:23 “A man's pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit.” We as a nation must uphold a higher standard of living – where the process of eradicating drugs from our society must become our main mission.

But, unfortunately, man has become corrupted with the profit of drug-making, and our nation of many people is losing the battle-war on drugs. Only those people who seek a higher spiritual order can learn to release themselves from the bondage of drug addiction.

Psalms; 5:1 “Give ear to my words, O LORD, consider my meditation.”

Despite being aware of these harmful outcomes, many people who use drugs continue to take them, which is the nature of addiction.”  A NIH notation – about  the ills of drug addiction.

Psalms; 5:5 “The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.”

Each and every person will be judged for what they do, and these drug dealers – however they classify their faction – contribute to the ongoing drug dilemma in America.

Psalms; 12:1 “Help, LORD; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men.”

To, people who suffer with drug addition, please be acknowledged – that there are many opportunities available to end a drug addicted situation. Prayer, support groups, and family/church support are true accessible options; only diligent will power – can facilitate first steps – walking the road to live a drug-free life.

When Love Is No More

No more heartache for the broken hearted.
No more love for when love has departed
from the heavy heart.
No more love for the persecution of love.
No more arguments for the sake of love.
No more battling - trying to hold on to love.
No more tomorrows where the kiss of love
Passed away like a thief in the night.
When love is no more
To no fault of your own
The days seem like an eternity of endless night.
When love is no more,
The lonely tears feel like unkind blessings,
The one type of blessing
That has seemed to travel so far away.
When love is no more
It is like the husband and wife who hate
The sound of each others heartbeat.
When love is no more
We turn away from each other in sorrow
Wishing for a better day,
A day we know that will never come.
